Jason Kofke: Still in China


Local artist Jason Kofke has been in China for the better part of the past year, but was able to mail a couple small pieces of art to MINT Gallery. These pieces were intended for December's postcard show, but due to the Chinese postal system, were just recently received.

Art Sign the Beltline Part 2

A while back, WonderRoot organized a project where local artists created signs that were hung around town to raise awareness of the beltline project. Join them on this Saturday, February 20 from 12p-6p at Eyedrum Art and Music Gallery, to create original pieces of public art for the second round of this project. Check out some more photos from the first project here.

Skullfuck at Eastside Lounge

Unless things have changed, this is going to be another great art/bad venue situation. At any rate, some of my favorites including BORN, Bethany Marchman, and Stenvik Mostrom made skull art and it opens this Saturday, February 20th at Eastside Lounge.

Photos: gloATL's "Bloom"

Bloom was a series of three dance performances by glowATL that took place throughout Atlanta's Lenox Sqaure Mall over the weekend and was presented by Flux Projects. Valentine's Day Shows

This Saturday, February 13th, MINT Gallery and WonderRoot open exhibits with Sunday's holiday in mind. "ManEaters and LadyKillers" opens at MINT from 8-11 celebrating romance comics of the 50's and 60's while "The Femme Fatale" opens at 8 at WonderRoot and features musical acts as well (Geri X, GRL PRTY, Naomi Lavender, and Clementine Willowilde) for $5.

Sexy Death Puppet Show

Every year local puppeteer Raymond Carr takes a break from Walking With Dinosaurs to put on a mixed media, adult puppet show at Eyedrum. This years Ninja Puppet production, The Sexy Death Puppet Show, will go three nights starting tomorrow, Tuesday, February 9th at 8pm.

Paper Twins Winter Collection

Great new Paper Twins piece in preparation for their show with Sam Parker and Joe Tsambiras coming up at MINT Gallery towards the end of the month.
