Erin Basset's "Raw and Fearsome" at MINT Gallery

One of several shows opening this Saturday, May 1st, Erin Basset's Raw and Fearsome is look into the artist's solo work fresh of off her recent showing Grow with Plastic Aztecs. The exhibit opens at MINT Gallery from 8-12 with loud, live music during the last hour or so.

We Are Going To Eat You/Pushin' Up Daisies

MINT Gallery presents its second installment of We Are Going To Eat You, a group exhibition that celebrates the world of cult films. The show opens this Saturday, April 17th from 8-11. After the show, be sure to head over to the Atlanta Film Festival's screening of Pushin' Up Daisies, a zombie mockumentary filmed in Athens, GA. The film screens at 11:45 at Midtown Arts Cinema. Dodekapus Presents Collective Conscious


There is a lot of hype surrounding the formation of Atlanta's newest art collective.  Dodekapus' Collective Conscious goes down this Friday, April 9th at Raw Space (431 Fair St. in Castleberry Hill, I've never heard of that either) from 8pm- 4am.  For more info you can check out articles at BurnAway and Creative Loafing (both written by Jessica Blankenship ??)

SCAD Scholarship Gala


Do you have a couple hundred bucks that you are looking to throw towards the art community? In Atlanta you've got plenty of opportunities, the first one being tonight's scholarship gala at SCAD Atlanta.  This event serves as the University's primary benefit and features an art auction, student demos, food, and cocktails.  More info here.
